It welcomed more than 23 million tourists and 50 million passengers in its <a href=\"https:\/\/portobeautiful.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">airports<\/a>. While the share of revenue directly linked to tourism in GDP reached 7.1 %.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-une-croissance-en-hausse-en-2018\">Growth on the rise in 2018<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Portugal's National Statistics Institute (INE) has just announced. In 2018, Portugal's northern region experienced growth in tourism that was double the national average.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The benefits linked to tourism in Portugal would have been between 12 and 12.5% if we take into account overnight stays in particular, whereas at national level these same figures were between 6% and 6.5%. This can be explained, in particular, by the fact that the region was more unknown until now.
